Rejuvenate in July!

July is the month for holidays, family, celebrations and recharging. A friend recently adopted a baby from India. We are getting our own "baby" - a puppy named Shadow, to add to your family.

As I look around at our friends and family, the children seem to grow taller during the summer months and the adults seem more relaxed!

A summer tradition in New England is ice cream on the farm and 4th of July celebrations.

We were invited to the India New England Woman of the Year event this week. Here are some pictures from the event. Our client and friend Sorboni Banerjee Holbrook of Fox25 News was one of the nominated women.

June Weddings and Father's Day

Our travels in May took us to Concord MA and Newport, RI. Walking around on perfect spring days in these old and quaint New England towns brought back all the history that these towns stand for. From the Revolutionary battles in Lexington and Concord to sea side mansions of the wealthy in Newport, the glorious landscape of the north east is inspirational.

May Showers, Mother's day flowers and Graduation gift giving!

May is turning out to be a super busy time for everyone that I know - including all my friends and clients. From recitals to commencements, Mother's day and graduations, there is plenty to celebrate in our lives. While reading the blogs of some of the creative women I admire, I realized that we are all in this ever changing mode in May. As nature blooms and flowers, so do our children. They seem to grow and move on to bigger and hopefully, better things! So let's celebrate Spring and along with it, all the special moments as mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, teachers and special friends! All the work that these amazing women do all day, often putting their children first before anyone else!

Our updated site is going to launch mid May, with new styles and a new Bridal concept page. Feel free to browse the site and give us your feedback. We will have our Trunk show and sale on May 19th and 20th from 11 am to 4 pm with the Lexington Open Studios.

This is a chance to shop for gifts and unique designs, some artwork and perhaps think about an upcoming wedding!

The June wedding we were designing bridesmaids dresses for is complete! We will post pictures once the big day is over. For now we pray for good weather as it's going to be on a beach! Stay tuned!

April 2012- Earth Day

Central Park in bloom
April brings the start of the flowering, budding, greening and blooming of all the vegetation in New England. During our mini break to Connecticut and New York City we decided to honor the wonderful greenery around us. First stop was the American Natural History Museum in NYC. Amazing to see the exhibits that have been created so painstakingly. Hand painted backgrounds to duplicate habitats and species from bygone eras. We paid our tribute to nature in this indoor setting and then stepping out into the brilliant sunlight, we walked into Central Park. The trees and flowers were in full bloom everywhere and people were sitting on rocks, walking the various paths and heading towards the boathouse and Bethesda fountain. Included are some pictures our travels to find nature in one of the world's busiest cities.

Take me back to Boston, heard it's greener than NYC!

Back in Boston, we were invited to showcase our business by through Graduate School of Design at the i-lab in a panel discussion. The topic was Environmentally conscious entrepreneurial ventures in the Boston area. The panelists were from various organizations like Slow Money, Green Goat etc. Our designs were showcased and I was part of the panel as well. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Earth day or Earth Week!

We had a very successful showing at the Liberty Hotel in Boston in April. Please see pictures on our Facebook page.

Coming up in May is our Trunk show and sale and Open House with Lexington Open Studios. Mark your calendars for the weekend on May 19th and 20th.

We are making some updates to our site, namely to the Bridal designs, so stay tuned for more news.

In the meantime, enjoy the warm weather and here's to Spring!
